Award shows are basically a war of the fandoms and it all comes down to sobbing because you belong to too many. 

and like, I didn’t ask to choose between Harry Potter, the Hunger Games, and Lord of the Rings. 

WHY!

I was so scared that Dame Maggie Smith wasn’t going to make it through the premier of Deathly Hallows 2. Bless her heart :( 

ALSO I WOULD JUST LIKE TO SAY…

if they believe in God and you believe in God, then you get to see them in heaven.

maybe Rupert Grint and I can share a bunk bed in heaven. 

I could just be like, BUT JESUS…

I blew up my personal facebook with HP related things and finally just decided to make an HP fanblog to coexist between my other fanblogs.

Not Hunger Games related but I just watched Deathly Hallows pt. 2 for the first time since the Midnight Premier. 

Oh man…

I can’t even put my emotions into words. I was so upset at the theater like, completely devastated because it was the “end of my childhood…” but now that I’m watching it again after trying to delay it because I knew it would only upset me… it’s like a dam of emotions has burst and flooded me out. :C

I just keep thinking back to all the midnight premiers I’ve been to for both books and movies.

How my fifth grade teacher read Harry Potter and the sorcerer’s stone out loud to us and wouldn’t let us go to the premier as a field trip because Draco said “arse.” 

How I used to use sticks in the yard as wands and run around with blankets over me as invisibility cloaks.

How my mother would take me to the midnight premiers and bring a pillow so she could sleep through the movie because she had to work early in the morning but still took me anyway because she knew how much it meant to me.

How she bought me the video games specifically so I’d stay out of her hair while she cleaned the house and I was less inclined to re-dirty it up haha

How the power went out during Chamber of Secrets right as the Basilisk went for Harry and I screamed and cried my eyes out until the power came back on…thirty minutes later…

How in middle school I stayed up all night reading The Prisoner of Azkaban by using a light up toy from McDonalds and not being able to sleep because it scared me to bits and I kept thinking Sirius Black was going to come out from under my bed and kill me.

How when the eighth chapter of the Goblet of Fire has a chocolate smudge on the page because I was reading it at a basketball game in between cheer leading and I had bought a milkyway from the concession stand.

How mad and hateful I used to get towards anyone whenever I read Order of the Phoenix because I HATED umbridge and any chapter involving her always put me in a horrible mood. 

How it took me only 24 hours to finish the half blood prince and my mother threatened me with a grounding if I didn’t stop reading at night and go to bed. And how when I went to the midnight premier I was so sad because I didn’t dress up but I secretly pretended to be a wizard incognito anyhow. 

How I stood in line for four hours waiting for the Deathly Hallows book and how my best friend Cassie at the time asked me to stay with her and we read it chapter by chapter and shunned TV, radio, and internet until we finished it because we were terrified that someone would ruined it. How we cried together when our favorite characters died… 

How the last midnight premier ever, I went entirely by myself with no friends but made new friends and ran into good friends while waiting and how the couple behind me were in their 50’s to early 60’s and were wearing gryffindor robes and I vowed for that to be me. 

Every time I get sad about Harry Potter being officially finished, I just think back to all these memories and while they make me sad.. every single time I open a book or watch a movie I am right back where I was when I first read/saw it. I don’t think many books can do that.

So thank you Harry Potter, for an awesome childhood and an awesome life to come<3 

I just need a Harry Potter group hug. :’(
