I’m 21 years old, I’m an English Major in college (soon turned Art Major) and live in the Eastern Tennessee area. I’m a creative writer and appreciate all aspects of literature. Some of my favorite books are: The Every Boy by Dana Adam Shipiro, Harry Potter by JK Rowling, The Shape of Water by Anne Spollen, and of course, The Hunger Games trilogy :) I also love poetry by Elizabeth Browning, Emily Bronte, Emily Dickenson, Walt Whitman, and more recent poets such as Listener. I’m a photographer and a painter and always busy myself with numerous projects revolving around the things I love most, so you can bet I’ll probably post some that are Hunger Games related. :)
I’m up for my seventh year of reaping despite being 21 years old.. I guess the Capitol has decided that no one is an exception now.
The Capitol has placed me in District 12. It suits me because I live in a very mountain based area. I’m from a small town where you make use of your land to survive. I live in what you would call the “sticks” but the front yard mountains make it all worth it. My grandmother’s side of the family were from West Virginia and almost every man went to the mines. My grandfather’s side were all farmers who sold cattle and harvested wheat, corn, or tobacco.
“Sing them to silence” comes from book one where Peeta reflects on how both Katniss and her father could “sing so well the Mockingjays went silent.”
I love the idea of a mockingjay and as an avid birdwatcher they are easily my favorite aspect of the Panem world.
Also, My OTP is Peeta & Katniss, fully. Always has been, always will be.
I’ve been using this fan blog to track my progress as I read through the rest of the trilogy as well as meet and talk among other fans in the community. Since I’ve finished this site has evolved into an all around THG playground and it’s full of spoilers and fangirling. SO, if you haven’t read the trilogy I wouldn’t advise following me because I will post spoilers in my journal entries/discussions/freak outs. lol ;)
